To understand the reason why the younger generation is the way they are you have to understand the history.

Each generation is characterized by distinct traits shaped by the historical and social context in which they came of age. Millennials, also known as Generation Y, were born between the early 1980s and the mid-1990s. They witnessed the rapid rise of technology and the internet, shaping their identity as digital natives who value connectivity, innovation, and work-life balance. Generation X, born between the mid-1960s and early 1980s, experienced the transition from analog to digital technology and were often referred to as the "latchkey generation" due to increased divorce rates and working parents. 

They are known for their independence, adaptability, and resourcefulness. Baby Boomers, born between the mid-1940s and mid-1960s, witnessed significant societal changes, such as the civil rights movement and the sexual revolution. They tend to prioritize loyalty, hard work, and traditional values. Finally, the newest generation, known as Generation Z or "Gen Z," encompasses those born in the late 1990s to early 2010s. They are considered the first true digital natives, growing up with smartphones and social media. Gen Z is characterized by their tech-savviness, global mindset, and emphasis on diversity and inclusion.

Growing up with smart phones not always a good thing when it comes to developing good inter personal skills. 

I suppose those of us 40 and up just need to realise, understand and accept this....

What's with time meaning nothing these days? When I make an appointment for a specific time and then you rock up only to be advised "via WA", that the girl is two robots away and 15 minutes later you still find yourself waiting. Maybe I'm just old fashioned or I lead a boring life WTF man! It just kills the mood for me. 
When I addressed it with the lady concerned she looked at me like I was some sort of monster.......
